We are in need of a skilled Landscape Worker with a passion for construction. The right candidate will have previous work experience such as irrigation, drainage, planting, sod, dirt work, etc., as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. Job Responsibilities:
As a Landscape Construction Foreman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of various landscape construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage a team of landscape laborers, ensuring the highest level of efficiency, quality, and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
Crew Leadership: Supervise and lead a crew of landscape laborers, including assigning tasks, providing clear instructions, and ensuring tasks are completed according to schedule and quality standards.
Project Execution: Oversee and participate in all aspects of landscape construction projects, including flowerbed renovations, irrigation installations, drainage installations, retaining walls, paver installations, dirt work, and sodding.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work is executed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship, and that projects are completed according to the quoted design and customer specifications.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and guidelines on job sites, conducting regular safety meetings, and ensuring that all crew members adhere to safety regulations at all times.
Resource Management: Manage and coordinate equipment, materials, and other resources necessary for project completion, maintain all tools, trucks, and equipment in good working order.
Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with landscape managers, clients, and others involved to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure overall project satisfaction.
Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise during project execution, adapting to changing circumstances and finding effective solutions.
Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training to new and existing crew members, develop and fine-tune the skills of laborers and prepare them for future advancements within the company.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 Years experience in landscape construction, including hands-on experience with flowerbed renovations, irrigation installations, drainage installations, retaining walls, paver installations, dirt work, and sodding.
Minimum 1 year proven experience in a leadership role, with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
Ability to operate at minimum; tractor, mini-excavator, and skid steer.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of construction practices such as: jobsite prep, project layout, grade control, etc.
Strong understanding of landscape construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to landscape construction.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
8 year experience in Landscape Construction
3 years experience team leadership or management
Certifications in any landscape related field.
Experience with design and execution of irrigation and drainage systems.
Experience with project management software and tools.
Experience quoting landscape jobs accurately.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
