Job purpose
The position will be responsible for the overall care of the facility, building maintenance, and equipment maintenance while helping to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Duties and responsibilities
- Performing preventative maintenance on all types of equipment.
- Performing installation and upgrades of new and existing equipment.
- Perform work on building and building systems.
- Performing work on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding, or any other maintenance related work as needed.
- Maintain work logs and records
- Be able to lead projects with labor from experienced, inexperienced and contractors as required.
- Help maintain, develop, and implement 5S program throughout the plant.
- May assist with snow removal and other grounds keeping activities as needed.
- May be required to utilize basic cleaning and other chemicals.
- May assist in training, assigning, and checking the work of other employees.
- Work towards being able to train others on necessary equipment and becoming a certified train the trainer.
- Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose and trouble-shoot.
- Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
- Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
- Orders replacement parts and equipment with management approval.
- Inspects completed repairs performed by others.
- May be required to inventory equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Follow all company safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 2 or more years of related experience.
- Good communication skills both verbally and written.
- Be able to read and understand technical manuals and drawings.
- Ability to follow directions and work without supervision.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Work with team leads/supervisors/safety to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of live dead live process preferred.
- Knowledge of LOTO and NFPA 70E preferred.
- Perform quality maintenance work that meets or/ exceed expectations.
- Maturity of judgment and behavior.
- Excellent attendance record. Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime hours as needed.
- Must comply with any dress code requirements including necessary PPE or FR.
- Experience in the following is preferred:
- Welding/Fabrication
- o Hydraulic/Pneumatic
- o Electrical/Electronics
- o Mechanical
- o HVAC
Working Conditions
Generally, in an indoor setting, however, may participate in outside activities and events. Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates.
Physical Requirements
Significant walking or other means of mobility. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds. Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
