Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support to individuals with various needs, including those with developmental disabilities and dementia. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, patient observation, and providing direct support in a group home or home health setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide compassionate care to individuals with dementia and developmental disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Observe clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support clients in engaging in social activities and community involvement to promote their independence and personal growth.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress and needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Requirements
- Experience in caregiving or direct support roles, particularly with individuals who have developmental disabilities or dementia.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic health care practices is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a group home or home health environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of clients is essential.

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
