Position Summary
The Communications and Data Coordinator writes and edits all copies used for print, digital, and marketing or solicitation communications. This individual will be responsible for increasing OG’s public presence through the management of social media and email engagement strategy and execution. In addition, this position will leverage data analytics to help build strong relationships with our donors, drive engagement, and maximize lifetime donor value. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor donor behavior, improve retention strategies, and ensure an exceptional donor experience. This role will support our mission to optimize donor acquisition, retention, and engagement.

For the Communications and Data Coordinator
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Data reporting, Nonprofit industry or a related field preferred
Experience in social media marketing and analytics or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or customer success management in a nonprofit or similar environment desired.
Experience in copy writing and journalism preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite required.
Strong experience in data analytics, with proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, Google Analytics, or similar platforms preferred.
Experience in using data to optimize donor engagement and retention required.
Position Responsibilities
Oversee the prospecting, scheduling, and execution of guest and community member interviews and photography for storytelling.
Strategically create and execute solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship emails
Responsible for the management and segmentation of OG’s email address list
Track progress of social media and email traffic and provide analytical support.
Organize and increase the growth of public relations opportunities for OG.
Develop and cultivate a portfolio of local media and advertising partnerships.
Oversee the development and broadcast of crisis messages in collaboration with the designated response team.
Plan and deploy press releases and other forms of OG news to the public.
Create, implement, and execute a social media content calendar.
Create, edit, and / or maintain OG’s acknowledgement copy and formatting.
Assist the Creative Design team in capturing quality, and inspiring photos of OG’s work.
Analyze donor data to segment the donor base by key characteristics (donation behavior, giving capacity, engagement level).
Analyze donor retention rates, identify trends and factors contributing to donor churn, and develop strategies to reduce donor attrition.
Use predictive analytics to identify at-risk donors and proactively engage them with tailored communication and support.
Measure the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns by analyzing response rates, donation amounts, and donor behavior.
Provide actionable insights to improve campaign strategies, targeting, and messaging.
Maintain accurate donor databases and ensure data integrity.
Provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to donor engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
Work to implement new tools and improve donor data collection and analysis.
Utilize CRM systems and data analytics tools to gather insights and track performance.
Ensure data-driven insights are shared and used to inform donor engagement strategies across the organization.
