The Project Engineer Position
The Company is adding aProject Engineerto its team based on consistent backlog and growth. The Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in the organizations overall success by ensuring compliance and construction standards. In this role, the main responsibilities will include:
- Solicit and qualify bids from subcontractors
- Assist in developing bid scope summaries and approval forms
- Research and track new and out of town subcontractors
- Coordinate and manage construction drawings and generate RFIs
- Conduct subcontractor safety orientations and safety inspections
- Track and organize safety manuals, SDS, site signage, and barricades
- Maintain site cleanliness and relocate staged materials as needed
- Track, update, and distribute incoming drawings, bulletins, and submittals
- Review submittals for contract conformance and manage distribution to A/E
- Track meeting minutes and maintain project databases along with project binders
- Assist with daily report preparation and track onsite construction progress
- Develop and maintain three-week look ahead schedules and material status reports
- Support onsite supervision, subcontractor productivity tracking and management
- Assist in project close-out, including punch lists, as-built drawings, and documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities of the Project Engineer
- Bachelors degree in construction management or another related field
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and stay self-motivated
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft office and Procore preferred
