Assistant Controller - Private Credit

Our client, a leading boutique Alternative Fund Administrator, is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their fund accounting team. Our client offers options of both hybrid in downtown Chicago and fully remote. Compensation is competitive and there are comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Participate and review audit and tax preparation
• Working with a team on quarterly and year end close reporting, including financial statements, capital account statements and account reconciliation.
• Assisting with the preparation of all internal data and information for Capital Calls, including Distributions and Allocations to investors
• Utilise third party software system to track and maintain investor information.
• Management and development of internal fund accounting team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA is a plus
• At least 10 years of fund accounting or Public accounting experience, with a strong understand of private credit, private equity, or asset management fund accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
