Your Role
Responsibilities
As a Tax Associate, you will be responsible for critical tax functions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and statutory accounting principles while driving process improvements. Key responsibilities include:
✔️ Preparing tax provisions under U.S. GAAP and NAIC Statutory Accounting Principles.
✔️ Reviewing tax compliance returns prepared by external CPA firms and tracking compliance schedules.
✔️ Preparing quarterly/yearly federal excise tax returns and estimated tax payments.
✔️ Assisting in documentation of tax positions across GAAP, STAT, and tax regulations.
✔️ Coordinating with finance and accounting teams to prepare tax provisions.
✔️ Managing relationships with external advisors and responding to tax authority inquiries.
What You Bring
✔️ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's in Taxation or Accounting preferred).
✔️ 2-3 years of tax or tax accounting experience (Big 4 or professional services corporate industry experience preferred).
✔️ Strong knowledge of U.S. Federal Corporate Tax and ASC 740 (Experience with NAIC SSAP 101 is a plus).
✔️ Experience with tax research tools such as BNA or Bloomberg Tax.
Compensation & Benefits
✔️ CPA preferred but not required.
💰 Base Salary: $92K - $110K Bonus
