What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant position at Oliver's Candies LLC?
Oliver's Candies is a family owned candy manufacturing company that has been around since 1932. We are currently looking to fill a part time accounting/bookkeeping position. It would be around 20-30 hours each week and the hours can be flexible (between 8 am to 5 pm) to work around your schedule.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or similar field (not required, but helpful)
- At least 1 year of relevant, hands on accounting experience
- Proficient in QuickBooks as well as Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently on assigned duties, self-motivated
- Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Duties related to accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
- Creating invoices for wholesale, retail and corporate customers
- Reconciling credit card statement
- Receive wholesale orders from customers and create Excel sheets for orders
- Analyze financial information in order to identify discrepancies and resolve them in a timely fashion
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
- Process monthly sales tax payments to comply with any federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Prepare and process journal entries such as daily sales for two retail store locations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
