Qualifications
- Current or recent enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program, with an interest in philanthropy, business, marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, or nonprofit management
- Strong proficiency in all social media platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Adobe Acrobat and Google Suite
- Strong persuasive writing skills
- Graphic design and Canva experience a plus
- Part-time 10 to 20 hours per week from July 1 to August 15
- Conduct preliminary research on prospective corporate, foundation and individual donors and support with grant writing and reporting
- Provide administrative and logistical support for Oliver Scholars’ Annual Gala, Alumni and Donor Cultivation Events
- Support all development event planning logistics including attendance tracking, guest management, and follow-up
- Update Oliver Scholars’ profiles for compliance organizations (e.g., BBB, GuideStar)
- Prepare acknowledgement letters and other correspondence
- Help organize and maintain Development Google Drive files
- Maintain donor and grant databases and files, including calendaring deadlines, logging donations, and logging donor appreciation efforts
- Support with the creation and dissemination of Oliver Scholars’ email appeals
- Support with ongoing data entry and cleanup in Raiser’s edge, including notes entry and tracking of moves management efforts
- Help create monthly fundraising reports and dashboards
- Assemble media and donor kits for events and meetings
- Create PowerPoints and specialized decks for donor meetings
- Support with fundraising reconciliation efforts, in conjunction with the development and accounting team
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Development Officer
