Overview
Olson Asphalt is looking for a payroll administrator to process payroll, required reporting, certified prevailing wage reports, payroll taxes, quarterly reports, and benefit administration. Knowledge of WA and OR requirements for payroll and OT laws is a must. This position is flexible in hours!
Pay is DOE and negotiable
Duties
- Maintain employee records related to payroll, benefits, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Perform account reconciliation to verify payroll data accuracy.
- Assist in benefits administration, including enrollment and changes.
- Collaborate with the accounting team on general ledger accounting and technical accounting tasks.
- Support accounts payable functions as needed.
- Generate payroll reports for management review and audits.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of benefits administration and general ledger accounting principles.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong analytical skills for account reconciliation tasks.
- Effective communication skills to interact with employees and management.
