What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Fabrication Specialist position at Olsten?
We are currently seeking a highly skilled CNC Production Associate to join our team at Olsten. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating metal-cutting machinery to build tools and parts of various machinery.
The following are some of the key responsibilities of this role:
- Operating CNC punch, CNC laser punch, and CNC press brake equipment
- Loading programs using required software applicable to the equipment utilized
- Programming basic parts and geometries using the machine control
- Selecting and loading tooling for punching or bending
- Changing laser consumables and setting up for operation
- Loading materials into machines
- Removing scrap, cutting dross, and slag to the appropriate bins
- Effectively communicating issues to the CNC programmer and maintenance
- Performing basic operator preventative maintenance
- Shaking out parts when necessary
