OLV Human Services is seeking an IT Field Service Technician to join our team!
Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to the end users across multiple locations. This person installs, configures, and maintains personal computers, network hardware, printers, and video terminals. This person will also be able to set up projection devices, video cameras, and other equipment necessary for presentations and video conferences. This role will interface with a managed service provider to prioritize tasks, provide status updates, and share information. In addition to providing technical assistance, incumbent will also be capable of handling administrative tasks such as user account management, hardware inventory control, and policy and procedure documentation.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00/hour, based on applicable years of experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Travel to different organizational locations to provide on-site IT support
Perform hardware and desktop troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common computer software and hardware problems
Set up and configure hardware and software at various sites
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for staff and, where applicable, students
Conduct regular maintenance and updates of IT equipment across locations
Provide user training on new technologies and systems
Assist with the implementation of new IT projects at different sites
Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and IT assets across locations
Collaborate with the IT Operations Manager to ensure consistent support across all locations
Assist in maintaining IT security protocols across all sites
Provide remote support when on-site presence is not required
Utilize the IT ticketing system, to document and manage workload, escalating tickets as appropriate
Administer user accounts in various software applications as employees are hired, promoted, and terminated
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education / Experience Required
Associate’s degree in information technology or related field with 3 - 5 years of experience
OR
High School Diploma with 6 – 9 years of experience in IT support roles, preferably with experience in multi-site support
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
Familiarity with networking concepts and basic troubleshooting
Experience with mobile device management and support
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple locations
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience with help desk ticketing systems
Basic understanding of IT security principles
CompTIA A certification or equivalent is preferred
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Knowledge of healthcare and/or education IT systems is a plus
License/Registration/ Certifications Required
NYS Driver’s License required
Physical Requirements
Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist
Must be able to climb a minimum 18-foot ladder
Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs.
