Job Purpose: The purpose of the OEAPA Range 16 Office Assistant is to provide intermediate clerical assistance to an Olympia School District site or department(s). This position may serve as support personnel to a higher range OEAPA member.

This 7.0 hour per day, continuing position works Monday - Friday, 192 days per year.
As a condition of employment, all Olympia School District employees must provide valid proof of vaccination for COVID-19 or a valid religious or medical exemption. Essential Job Functions including but not limited to:
- Complete basic office tasks such as copying, sorting, filing, and data entry
- Ability to plan and organize own work
- Ability to perform standardized and routine tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to complete work independently
- Complete assignments with routine deadlines
- Attend meetings and training sessions as assigned
- Assist other office personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work
- Interact with the public and co-workers in a consistently successful manner
- Follow established routines with limited decision making
- Other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Prior entry-level job-related experiences – 2 years related experience preferred
- Ability to use English in both written and verbal form, using correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Basic office technology skills
- Must be able to work independently, understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Significant physical abilities include reaching, bending, speaking, listening, reading
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- License, certification, bonding, and/or testing required: Criminal justice fingerprint clearance may be required based on location of assignment
