Responsibilities:
- Evaluate loan applications and determine the eligibility of borrowers
- Collect and analyze financial information, such as credit reports, income documentation, and bank statements
- Review loan agreements to ensure compliance with regulations and policies
- Calculate loan amounts, interest rates, and repayment terms
- Collaborate with underwriters to assess risk and make lending decisions
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and resolving issues
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and changes in lending practices
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Loan Officer or similar role in the financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of loan origination processes and underwriting guidelines
- Familiarity with accounting software and Quicken
- Excellent mathematical skills for calculating loan amounts, interest rates, and repayment terms
- Knowledge of TILA (Truth in Lending Act) regulations and other relevant laws
- Ability to analyze financial documents and make informed lending decisions
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple loan applications simultaneously
