What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pantry Cook position at Olympic Club?
The Olympic Club is searching for an experienced Pantry Cook for our City Clubhouse.
Our Pantry Cooks are members of Local 2. Scheduling is by position seniority with shifts assigned based on operational needs. Candidates must have availability to work flexible schedules including day times, evenings, weekends and holidays.
The Olympic Club offers Pantry Cooks free meals during work shifts, free golf and tennis on Mondays at our Lakeside campus and a variety of sport and social events for employees throughout the year. Benefits include : vacation, PTO, sick time, holidays, and uniforms. Based on the number of shifts worked, full coverage healthcare is available to employees and their dependents.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Under general guidance of the Executive Chef, assists in the preparation of cold entrees, salads, appetizers, etc.
- Prepares foods for cooks, such as washing and peeling fruits and vegetables, cutting, chopping and similar duties
- Assists in buffet and catering service set up, replenishing and tear-down
- Maintains sanitation and safety standards at all times in work areas and during food handling, production, and storage
- Checks the food temperatures prior to food being served and during the course of service
- Performs other work as assigned
