🚀 About the Role:
We’re expanding our Asset Management team and looking for a seasoned, driven, and technically strong Director of Asset Management to oversee a diverse portfolio of power generation assets and a bio-fuel pellet facility. If you're passionate about energy markets, thrive in cross-functional leadership roles, and want to make an impact in a dynamic industry, we want to hear from you!
🛠️ What You’ll Do:
- 📊 Manage and optimise financial, contractual, and regulatory aspects of energy assets
- 🤝 Serve as the point of contact for plant teams, partners, service providers, ISOs, customers, and consultants
- 💼 Lead backend settlements for energy, capacity, and environmental credits
- 💰 Develop, manage, and track project budgets
- 🏢 Be on-site daily at our Buffalo Grove, IL office (this is not a remote position)
🎯 Your Skills & Experience:
- 📈 Strong background in energy/fuel markets analytics
- ⚡ Deep understanding of North American electricity, congestion, natural gas, emissions, and capacity markets
- 🧠 Familiar with physical & financial transactions in energy markets and ISO regulations
- 🛠️ 10 years in generation asset management/operations within a North American ISO
- 📘 2 years of NERC compliance experience (management or SME)
- 🧾 Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related analytical field
