Position Overview:
The Sr. Business Systems Analyst works with business partners and end users throughout the organization to understand and document customer requirements, assist with project implementation, and Testing. This role involves translating business requirements into clear system requirements, providing analytical guidance, and leveraging healthcare industry knowledge.
In this position, the Sr. Business Systems Analyst will utilize their comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry, business processes, data repositories, and IT systems to resolve issues, automate and improve processes, and assist with implementing IT solutions and testing.
π Key Accountabilities:
1. Requirements Analysis (30%)
π Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements within the project scope.
π¬ Engage in effective communication to establish relationships, gain alignment, and ensure clarity.
π Create user stories, detailed functional and technical requirements, and necessary artifacts.
π Assist with data analysis, including basic SQL for data profiling.
2. Feature Delivery (30%)
π Ensure commitments are met by collaborating with Scrum Master and business stakeholders.
β Define acceptance criteria to ensure value-driven deliverables.
βοΈ Work with technical teams to identify solutions that align with business needs.
3. Communication (20%)
π’ Responsible for clear, timely, and polished communication.
π€ Facilitate conflict resolution and gain approval for business requirements.
4. Consultation & BSA Practice Support (20%)
π‘ Explore business process improvements, perform gap analysis, and develop business cases.
π Partner with technical teams to create solutions and identify risks.
π Assist with test plan creation, post-implementation support, and peer guidance.
π Education/Experience:
- Education Level: Bachelorβs Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5 years in business systems, data analysis, and testing.
π οΈ Skills, Experience, and Abilities:
- Health Insurance experience (payer, sales, broker) β Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Ability to document and prioritize requirements, manage scope, and provide supporting visuals.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology and basic SQL knowledge.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with an ability to collaborate across functions.
π Certifications/Licensure:
- Scrum Certification (optional), Formal Agile Training
