Job Title : Senior Building Engineer

Hours : Full-time
Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Senior Building Engineer to contribute to the effective operations of our facilities, with the potential to advance to a Lead Engineer role.
In this position, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our facilities. Responsibilities include supporting the oversight of the engineering department, troubleshooting, repairing electrical and plumbing systems, and managing various control systems in both indoor and outdoor settings. This role reports directly to the Building Engineering Supervisor.
Duties, Responsibilities, and Essential Functions (included but not limited to) :
- Supports various building engineering projects including, but not limited to, public buildings, animal holding areas, animal displays, offices, and visitor areas.
- Conducts daily property inspections and performs repairs as needed.
- Performs daily preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including filter replacement, checking and replacing v-belts, bearing greasing, and coil cleaning.
- Performs reactive maintenance on HVAC systems such as bearing and seal replacement, pulley adjustment and replacement, motor and pump repair or replacement, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Handles the daily operations, troubleshooting, and repairs of all HVAC systems and controls, elevator systems, life safety systems, and emergency power systems.
- Works with and escorts outside contractors as needed.
- Responds immediately to emergencies and work orders.
- Complies with all applicable codes and organizational policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
