Job Title : Educational Technician 4
Location : Student Information Services, Teacher Administrative Center, 3215 Cuming St. Omaha, NE 68131
Reports To : Student Information Services Administrator
Work Schedule / FLSA Status : 12 month / Non-Exempt.
Salary Schedule : H06 / 36F Compensation and benefits will be administered consistent with the Office Personnel negotiated agreement.
Position Purpose :
This position will support the coordination of data exchange with Community Partners.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Serve as an assistant to Coordinator of Community Partnerships.
- Answer phones and greet internal and external customers in a professional manner.
- Schedule and maintain Coordinator's calendar. Organize materials required for each day's activities.
- Compose correspondence for Coordinator's signature.
- Communicate with Community Partner and OPS school staff to obtain requested information.
- Communicate with district-wide staff regarding procedures, deadlines, meetings and other information through the SharePoint site for Community Service Providers in Microsoft Office 365.
- Process reports, letters, etc. using MS Word merges, database merges and electronic submissions.
- Monitor and download and convert files from Community Service Providers.
- Produce and maintain the Service Provider Information Spreadsheet.
- Produce and maintain the Contingent Worker Data Base.
- Create, proofread, update consent forms and disseminate to organizations and OPS departments.
- Document receipt of consent forms, verify consent forms using OPS Guardianship Guidelines and process the consents based on program needs.
- Produce student records based on data requests.
- Release records to Service Provider organizations. Document the releases.
- Using ad hoc query, conduct regular Quality Assurance reports, and make required corrections.
- Develop and maintain an office filing system.
- Scan documents to electronic archives or to Infinite Campus for long-term retrieval.
- Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and produce and distribute minutes.
- Maintain confidential records and files in compliance with FERPA.
- Coordinate workflow of records among Student Information Services teams.
- Submit Help Desk Requests for Wi-Fi, Infinite Campus accounts and for troubleshooting.
- Create Infinite Campus Sections and District Employment Assignments.
- Enroll students in sections.
- Provide support to Service Providers related to all aspects of Service Provider partnerships.
- Provide support to school secretaries regarding Community Service Providers.
- Manage Community Service Provider accounts.
- Collaborate with Coordinator and other OPS departments to improve and enhance data sharing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Additional Duties : Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Equipment : This position may require the ability to use basic office equipment such as computers, copiers, scanners, and fax machine. Must always comply with OPS's guidelines for equipment use.
Travel : Limited travel within the District may be required.

This position is treated as a full-time non-exempt classified position. The terms of your employment will be governed by applicable state laws regulating employment or teaching in a Nebraska public school and Board of Education policies, as those laws and policies may change from time to time, and the Teacher Contract. If your position is represented by a collective bargaining representative, then your employment will also be governed by a negotiated agreement between OPS and that collective bargaining representative.
