Corporate Building Maintenance Technician

Location: Corporate Office: 10909 John Galt Blvd. Omaha, NE 68137

Schedule: Full-time, 1st shift. Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. Hours based on business needs.

Essential job duties include but are not limited to:

• Initiates & performs preventive maintenance (PM) measures on building and equipment in order to maintain proper working order and prevent breakdowns. Completes all work orders and checks out parts. Will be required to utilize a provided IPAD to access and complete assigned work. Must be willing to install/use an authentication app on personal cell phone.
• Responds to maintenance requests in a timely manner with minimal supervision. Verifies corrections before task or job is complete. Makes necessary inputs on iPad for all PMs and work orders. Responds to all pertinent maintenance requests and completes updates on the ticketing system.
• Performs various chemical tests, QA and safety work orders or PMs. Must be flexible with work times for adverse weather or other special projects.
• Responsible for snow removal/ice control using manual tools such as shovels and spreaders along with powered ride-on equipment is required.
• Makes repairs to irrigation systems when necessary.
• Inspects boilers/engine room equipment for proper operation. Monitors Building Management System. Notifies supervisor or makes corrections to equipment.
• Informs supervisor of parts needed to repair machines and equipment accounts for all parts on work orders or PMs. Initiates keeping all Omaha Steaks work areas neat and clean including all engine, boiler and shop areas.
• May be required to perform maintenance work at different facilities or shifts from time to time as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge and skill in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, BMS, structural heating and A/C and boiler operations.
• Ability to identify equipment malfunctions and safety hazards.
• Certified to operate a variety of snow removal power equipment.
• Ability to work outside in heat/cold.
• Ability/knowledge of proper painting techniques.
• Ability to interact one on one with other employees and provide solutions to their requests.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
