What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Staff - Promotions Team position at Omaha Storm Chasers?

Summary:
The Promotions Team assists with all promotions during Omaha Storm Chasers games. This includes promotions on the field, Hurl the Pearl, and assisting with handing out coupons and giveaway items. All members of the Werner Park event staff are required to work at least 50% of Werner Park Events in 2024.
Position Responsibilities:
- Select and prepare contestants for promotions while welcoming fans as they enter Werner Park
- Assist with the set-up, execution, and breakdown of daily events and/or promotions while making sure all equipment is organized, in good condition, and stored properly after each game
- Engage and interact with Storm Chasers fans
- Display an enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all guests
- Understand the promotions and execute correctly
- Be well-informed and up-to-date on all ticket promotions and theme nights
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Must feel comfortable in front of large crowds
- Must be able to lift or push at least 25 pounds
- Ability to easily stand, move up and down stairs, bend, twist, and reach overhead as needed
- Must be able to follow directions as well as work independently
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions including; cold, wind, rain and heat
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Knowledge of the game of baseball is preferred
Working Conditions:
This job operates in an environment located at a ballpark. This job may require long periods of standing. This job occasionally requires light lifting and moving of fixtures. Performance of this job may require exposure to extreme weather conditions.
