The Manager, Digital Investment will help to deliver our clients’ business objectives through bespoke and insight rooted digital programs. This individual is the day-to-day liaison between the client, account team, and the digital media community. They will build and maintain strong relationships with the media vendor community to ensure that our clients get premium access to opportunities and that our plans are the most innovative in the industry. They will steward media plan development and implementation, including ongoing and insightful performance reporting and optimization recommendations to maximize return on investment. They will be tasked to manage up to director level and supervise the analyst’s day-to-day activities making sure that their growth as digital media professionals are of utmost importance. The key differences between the Manager role and the Senior Associate role are the ability to interpret strategy through a digital lens, balancing client and vendor relationships while stewarding the tactical execution of programs.

$80,000—$90,000 USD
This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.

Responsibilities
- Knowledge of the principles of advertising, marketing and media (minimum of 3 years of digital industry experience)
- Knowledge of the dynamics of media - how each media element performs alone, how they perform together, and how they are constantly changing
- Ability to foster a strong, cohesive working team, provide proper, thorough instruction
- Crucial to understand media data sources in terms of what is measured, the method, and information reported
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or communications
- Have polished presentation, communication and listening skills
- In-depth understanding of Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaign management and optimization practices, as well as an understanding of social, video, search retargeting, and other online advertising opportunities
- Have strong program management and organizational skills being able to manage multiple projects at once
- Proactive, self-starter, capable of setting goals and reporting progress against them
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving abilities, ability to mine data for campaign performance insights and implement proper strategies to realize improvements with minimal interactions and financial exposure
- Passion for experimental design integrity and excellence including use of A/B control testing, statistical significance, deductive reasoning and logic, and ability to apply these skills in a field fraught with imperfect information and highly variable conditions
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and balance time across 5-10 clients, multiple partner relationships, and internal initiatives on a daily basis
- Data analysis in Excel, including Pivot Tables & basic statistics.
- Master Media and in platform knowledge of buying-related technologies, including DSPs, Social platforms (Meta, Twitter, Snap, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and Reddit), and Search platforms
- Must have in platform social media buying hands on experience, setting up, optimizing and reporting campaigns.
- Challenges the norm and seeks out innovative approaches to execution media across digital partners/platforms
- Takes nothing at face value and pushes partners to elevate and innovate programs creating first-to-market experiences
- Ability to connect programs to drive impact and ensure maximized asset utility
- Analyze historical and current campaign results to optimize learning and ensure continuous improvement
- Willingness to be trained up and understand the ways of buying linear media
- Process and analyze competitive media activity in the marketplace
- Oversee the buying & implementation of Digital campaigns, coordinating internal resource, setting best practice and working on planning frameworks
- Ensures strategic consistency across all elements of plan development and implementation
- Promotes and ensures that Digital investments are being maximized and benefits are being delivered to our clients
- Establishes timetables for development of digital plans and manages expectations on deliverables
- Understand client performance objectives and develop successful segmentation and optimization strategies to exceed client expectations
- Independently drive highly analytical and quantitatively driven techniques to continually exceed client performance expectations
- Translates client goals and KPI’s to platform activation strategies/tactics
- Develop relationships with other Digital Media Buying professionals to share best practices and lessons learned
- Own a deep technical understanding of digital platforms
- Develop people and have team management skills
- Effectively manage and develop junior team members (mentoring, training, etc.)
- Prioritize and manage quarterly priorities and ad-hoc requests to ensure they are executed on time and to client expectations by entire client team
- Ability to problem solve, such as finding solutions for issues not yet attempted
- Establish oneself as an expert within their functional department and client team
- Effectively communicate paid media insights, reporting, trends, and new initiatives to client/agency partners and vendors (as Advertising has ownership of the vendor relationships)
- Ability to present recommendations/ideas to client and internal team
- Ability to effectively merchandise successes to the client
- Help educate client team on latest trends, best practices, technologies, etc.
