We’re currently looking for an AR Collections Specialist to join our team. The AR Collections Specialist will collaborate with our internal team to manage financial transactions, coordinate collections, maintain accurate records, and foster positive client relationships while collaborating across departments to ensure smooth operations. The AR Collections Specialist will also assist with any additional requests that may arise. Please note: This position is fully on-site.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
- Organize and maintain all documents supporting financial transactions
- Accounting data entry and invoicing projects
- Engage with customers to request payments, arrange payment plans, and collect necessary documents
- Respond to customer inquiries professionally and coordinate with internal teams to resolve payment issues
- Collect payment from customers and accurately record it into the system
- Update client accounts based on payment or contact information
- Complete other duties at the discretion of management
ABOUT YOU:
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask, prioritize projects, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Diplomatic and tactful when handling sensitive client interactions
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build positive relationships
- Self-starter and able to work independently but can also be a collaborative team player
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree a plus
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks experience and/or certification a plus
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in full-cycle accounting
- 3 – 5 years of professional experience including a minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in accounting, collections, and client relationship management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
