This pivotal role involves managing personnel, processes, and equipment to boost efficiency and meet key performance indicators (KPIs). The supervisor will oversee daily operations in the QC Laboratory, ensuring rigorous compliance with industry standards and enhancing product excellence through strategic trend analysis and quality improvements.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Champion a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, aligning the team with their core values and mission.
• Develop and mentor a team of quality control technicians, providing regular feedback, coaching, and training to enhance their skills and performance.
• Ensure adherence to Food Science and Food Safety principles, maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), FDA nutritional labeling, and regulatory requirements.
• Proactively identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with the Quality Assurance and R&D teams to maintain and enhance food safety protocols.
• Drive projects that focus on enhancing quality, reducing costs, and optimizing performance across the board.
• Manage quality control data to support strategic decision-making and continuous operational improvements.

What You Need to Succeed:

• B.S. Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Quality Control within a food processing environment.
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Certifications such as PCQI or HACCP.
• Training or experience in LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies.
