Omega Research is looking for an outstanding Finance Specialist with experience to join our growing Team!
About the Role - The Finance Specialist assures efficient communication, timely invoicing and payment of research-related recoverable expenses. Provides coverage analysis to coordinate relevant study information, assist in the budgeting process, guide billing for medical procedures and provide a financial and compliance auditing platform.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures;
- Creating and updating spreadsheets of daily transactions;
- Match site activity with contractual terms;
- Tally the milestone with the study coordinator to confirm both the site & sponsor are on the same page;
- Reconcile patient travel and stipend reimbursements and raise the invoice;
- Add and manage charges for which the sponsor has required an invoice, generate invoices and send invoices to sponsors;
- Post invoices and create receivables;
- Check completed milestones to determine if payment is triggered;
- Check if any amount is withheld by the sponsor;
- Ensure expenses related to the clinical trial are treated consistently;
- Generating reports and spreadsheets for supervisor on patient enrollment and tracking;
- Drafting written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responding to regularly occurring requests for information;
- Maintaining confidentiality of patients and company information at all times and adheres to HIPAA Guidelines;
- Preparing reports; tracking budgets and expenses;
- May perform other duties not specifically listed in this job description as requested.
Qualifications
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well independently as well as with supervisors and external customers; Working knowledge of Clinical Trials Management Systems (CTMS); Strong problem-solving skills; Ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously with precision and adapt to changes in responsibilities and workloads; Must be professional, possess a high degree of urgency and self-motivation and have a strong work ethic; Must possess a high degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality with HIPAA guidelines, patient matters and other sensitive information.
