Position Summary:
The Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting and financial operations. This position is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Omega’s financial statement while also providing financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership. The Controller ensures all accounting tasks follow financial regulations and reporting requirements to keep Omega Systems in compliance. The Controller works with financial documentation, tax preparation, internal audits, budgets, and financial plans. The Controller oversees three or more accounting professionals’ day-to-day responsibilities, tasks, and performance in this position.
Functional Responsibility and Task Statements
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and comply with GAAP.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the annual budget process, including collaborating with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership to help inform decision-making.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all audit and tax filings.
- Ensure that financial systems and processes are efficient, effective, and scalable as the company grows.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial performance, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the accounting team.

Environmental: The job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is required for this position.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 10 years of experience in accounting and financial management roles, preferably with significant experience in managing the financial operations of Private Equity backed companies.
- Demonstrated understanding of the unique financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and performance metrics required by Private Equity stakeholders.
- Experience in the technology or managed services industry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Experience with accounting software and financial management systems.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation is strongly preferred.
