The Clearing & Settlement team have a high level of interaction with Business Specialists (Financial Advisors), Branch Management, Compliance and Risk Teams. The team is also the liaison between the field and the businesses unit / trading desk. On a day-to-day basis, the team member manages conflicting events that occurs throughout the day.
The Clearing & Settlement team is responsible for managing the day-to-day support of the trade lifecycle including the trade settlement across various asset classes and trade matching platforms. The candidate would also be performing suspense account reconciliation and balancing. This role entails heavy interaction with both internal and external financial advisors, the Core Settlements departments, trading desks, and external market centers and counterparties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of 2 years of financial services industry experience
- General knowledge of financial markets and investment products, specifically Trade Clearance and Settlements. (DTCC, Fed, Government, Muni).
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with a high degree of attention to detail
- Ability to adapt in fast paced environment with focus on innovation and flexibility
- Efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize competing urgent tasks
- Team player with the ability to work effectively in a team or independently
- Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge
- Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think and act like an owner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA a plus
