What are the responsibilities and job description for the Schedule Management Specialist position at OMNI Consulting Solutions?
We are seeking a Schedule Management Specialist to support Department of Defense (DoD) acquisitions by developing, maintaining, and analyzing program schedules. The ideal candidate will have 12 years of experience in scheduling methodologies, project management tools, and DoD acquisition processes. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient program execution timelines.
Develop, update, and maintain Integrated master schedules (IMS) for DoD acquisition programs.
Perform Schedule analysis to identify critical path activities, dependencies, and potential risks.
Support program managers by providing schedule visibility, progress tracking, and reporting
Ensure schedules align with DoD acquisition milestones and contractual requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies for schedule variances.
Utilize scheduling software tools Scheduling software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and logistics, to integrate scheduling requirements.
Prepare and present scheduled briefings and reports to leadership and stakeholders.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience :
12 years of experience and knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and scheduling methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent scheduling tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate technical schedule data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Secret clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and DoD program scheduling.
Familiarity with Integrated Master Planning (IMP), and Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS).
Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification.
Experience working with government agencies or defense contractors.
