As the Case Manager FIS you would be responsible for providing services to enable individuals and families to obtain access to needed medical, social, educational, and other support services as well as providing counseling and therapeutic services as specified. The FIS function can be generally described as assessing, advocating, linking and coordinating needed community-based services for the client(s) and families served. The case manager will be heavily involved with and supportive of a client’s educational, legal, vocational, extra-curricular and health related goals, with regular promotion of the accomplishment of these goals.
The FIS generally meets with the client(s) and the client’s family (foster, adoptive or biological) in the client’s home or residence, on a regularly scheduled basis. In addition, the FIS may meet with the members of the client’s community at locations such as school, daycare, job site, etc., as specified to meet the client’s service needs. The Case Manager FIS’s hours of work will vary depending on the individual needs of his / her caseload but are generally able to be scheduled in a manner that does not exceed 40 hours in a given week.

- Ability to be a team member and thought leader.
- Bachelor’s level degree (B.A. or B.S.) in the social sciences with (1) year relevant professional experience working with families and children. Although a degree in social sciences is preferred, a bachelor’s level degree in another field is permissible with (3) years of relevant professional experience working with families and children.
- Training in proper crisis prevention initiatives and universal precautions required.
- Proof of Automobile Insurance and Reliable Transportation.
- Valid driver’s license.
