The AP Accountant should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle a variety of financial tasks with precision. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, this individual will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all accounts payable processes. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented team member who can work both independently and collaboratively within the finance team and across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Record vendor invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and alignment with purchase orders and receipts.- Reconcile accounts payable ledger with vendor statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Process payments to vendors via checks, electronic transfers, or other payment methods, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Review and audit employee-submitted expense vouchers to ensure compliance with company policies and proper documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of expenses and ensure timely reimbursements.
- Reconcile credit card statements with company records, ensuring all charges are legitimate and accurately categorized.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in credit card transactions.
- Set up and maintain employee and vendor profiles in the Unanet system, including contact details, tax information, and roles.
- Ensure accurate data entry and system updates for new hires, vendors, and changes to existing profiles.
- Assign employees or contractors to specific projects, tracking time, resources, and costs.
- Ensure proper billing and alignment of project work with client contracts and internal budgets.
