Position summary: The Shipping and Receiving team member oversees all incoming and outgoing shipments ensuring accuracy and on time delivery.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure product handling and delivery practices meet customer expectations and annual business objectives.
- Occasionally communicate with customers to ensure best shipping practices.
- Staging and organizing materials.
- Drives forklift safely, according to all applicable laws.
- Responsible for packaging, verifying shipping content, receiving packages, and ordering supplies.
- Keep track of multiple orders as they arrive into the shipping department for outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate distribution process with various departments.
- Draft and distribute driver schedules and create bill of ladings.
- Monitor freight movement using various computer software applications.
- Assists with material handling and truck loading when needed.
- Oversee all receiving, matching of invoices and authorization of payments and inventory adjustments.
- Continuously works in a manner to ensure safety of self and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Required
- Previous experience in logistics, warehouse, or other related field - Required
- Experience with multiple hand and power tools including saws - Required
- Time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines - Required
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization - Required
- Ability to work professionally with others - Required
