JOB DESCRIPTION:
Coordinate and implement, per directives of President, all company policies, procedures, and instructions as outlined in the Employee Manual. Supervise the receptionist position. Perform any duties necessary to insure efficient operation of the President’s office on a daily basis. Perform payroll on a weekly basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for hiring and terminating, or assisting with both. Review all applications and resumes for employment, conducting background and reference checks. Interview and hire all new employees with the assistance of the president and assist management in planning for future hiring needs in the company. Assist the supervisors in addressing any performance issues that may arise with the employees, including termination if necessary. Maintain and review all performance appraisal records. Support or handle performance issues. Coordinate training activities based on need. Maintain all personnel and attendance files and records of every employee. Explain and maintain all benefits information for the employees. Update policy manual as necessary. Insure the company is in compliance with labor and Worker’s compensation laws, and work with outside labor attorneys and benefits administrators. Attend and represent the company at Worker’s Compensation hearings. Coordinate and approve the weekly uniform services for payment. Perform payroll duties on a weekly basis. Pertaining to the President: answer all incoming calls, open daily mail, handle business and personal correspondence, organize and maintain all business and personal records. Assist in his/her personal business affairs as requested.
