Omni Metalcraft, a leading distributor of conveyors and material handling equipment, is seeking CAD Operators of all skill levels to join our dynamic Engineering team. We are looking for individuals with a passion for design and a desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Knowledge required:

  • HS diploma, GED or higher is required
  • Associate’s degree or higher is preferred but not required
  • 1 year of experience is preferred but not required
  • Understanding of ethics and fundamentals (math, physics, engineering)
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Basic understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

Foundational Skills:

  • Basic proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Basic use of Microsoft Office tools
  • Written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail (Parse information for relevance and applicability)
  • Review and utilize internal communications to stay within established processes.
  • Understands and practices IFMC core values.

Ability to Implement/Proven Track Record/ Previous Measurable Results

  • Ability to develop models for concept development per customer interactions
  • Ability to produce customer approval drawings
  • Ability to produce manufacturing drawings
  • Ability to produce Bill of Materials
  • Ability to apply appropriate product inspection and instructional documentation
  • Ability to follow and execute directions, related to quotes, jobs, and internal communications.
  • Ability to search, review, and source appropriate components
  • Ability to make effective suggestions for improvements.
