What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator - 3rd Shift position at Omni Specialty Packaging, LLC?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure productivity of the Laner and case sealer is efficient and safe, and that all runs are produced in a timely manner. Monitor the quality of goods produced and fill out appropriate paperwork for production runs. Laner Operators are responsible for changing over the Laner, Case Sealer, Full Case Vision System and assisting with changeovers throughout the line once their changeover is complete.
Responsible for but not limited to:
- Must comply with all quality standards and protocols by filling out the appropriate quality check forms issued by the shift lead in the production packet.
- Must constantly monitor the quality of their current production run.
- Must not leave the area of his/her production line without relief;
- Properly monitor production to avoid risking quality of product
- Report any unsafe practices or situations to the line leader, shift leader, or management.
- Work with maintenance to resolve any mechanical issues that arise during the production process.
- Must maintain a clean and safe work environment by cleaning up any fluid spills immediately, keeping all walkways and work stations clear of debris, following safety guidelines detailed in section 6.2 of the employee hand book, and reporting any unsafe practices or environment to the shift lead and/or management.
- Verify each new roll of labels before placing it on the machine.
- Responsible for operating the laner and case sealer in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.
- Must maintain a clean and safe work environment by cleaning up any fluid spills immediately
Education/Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Time Management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Understanding and utilizing of hand tool equipment
- Basic trouble shooting skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.11 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
