Omni Specialty Packaging is adding four manufacturing lines that will be comprised of highly motivated and talented operators and technicians. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent Multi-Machine Operator will maintain and operate multiple pieces of similar machinery. The incumbent will assure the continuous and effective operation of production equipment. An excellent Multi-Machine Operator is dependable and attentive to detail and safety regulations. All duties will demand direct collaboration with coworkers; therefore, it is crucial to be a good team member. The objective will be to ensure that production procedures run efficiently to achieve optimum productivity.

Responsible for but not limited to;

• Ensure utilization of component run data and properly adjusting for run-out and changeovers
• Properly tune and diagnose machine issues
• Properly changeover and troubleshoot any issues/dial-in seamlessly
• Ability to utilize ERP systems (ie. IFS, SAP)
• Effectively train and mentor other Operators and Techs
• Express and demonstrate a sense of urgency/ownership and show initiative
• Back fill Pod Lead role and responsibilities as needed
• Demonstrate willingness and ability to cross train and work across each Pod
• Demonstrate leadership qualities (proper communication skills, attendance, positive attitude, ability to collaborate)
• Effectively communicate centerline request and changes
• Run machine and ensure no quality issues occur
• Must manage and maintain required tools
• Inform Maintenance of required PMs or reactive maintenance
• Escalate issues, per plan, to Pod Lead or proper channels
• Report and update accurate data on DMS Board
• Any other duties given by Leadership

Education/Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven Machine Operator experience
• Knowledge of computer-based systems
• Working knowledge of production procedures
• Demonstrates an attention to detail
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Teamwork and effective communication skills (Technical school preferred)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for multiple hours (8, 10, 12-hour shifts)
• Must be able to withstand extreme heat and cold conditions
• Must be able to lift 40lbs
• Ability to properly utilize stairs
• Ability to speak to deliver oral information to coworker to convey specific spoken instructions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Machine Operating: 5 years (Preferred)
