What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Educator (California) position at Omni Wound Physicians?
Summary:
Clinical Education Coordinator is responsible for assisting in instructing the staff and referring entities of
Omni Wound Physicians. The CEC will devise curriculum from evidenced-based research within the
practice under the guidance of the Clinical Education Manager. The CEC will collaborate and assist in
collaborating with the marketing team to promote new and existing wound care curriculum to the
practice’s referral partners and business affiliates. The CEC, under the guidance of the CEM, will be a
secondary resource of ensuring adherence to company, state and federal regulations and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in providing educational leadership to the organization.
2. Assist clinical staff of the organization and its referring entities in their educational needs, problem
resolution, and health management across the continuum of care.
3. Assist in collaborating with providers, patient care staff and management in the planning,
implementation and delivery of educational materials/curriculum.
4. Assist in skills development programs within the parameters of established care models; monitors
trends and assists in implementation of educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality
standards and parameters.
5. Assist in developing educational materials and plans to incorporate evidenced-based research and
national standards; serves as a resource with guidance of CEM to ensure quality patient care
6. Assist in educating staff of the organization and its referring entities or business partners in the
use of new wound care equipment, supplies and instruments; assist in coordinating in-service
training and workshops as appropriate.
7. Assist in planning, developing, implementing and/or coordinating educational programs/activities.
8. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
