Financial Controller for Long Term Care/ SNF Facilities

Omnia Healthcare Group   is seeking a Controller  to join their team! The Primary responsibility of the Controller is to effectively design, implement, and monitor financial systems and protocols as it relates to Facility financials.

Controller Duties and Responsibilities :

• Maintain and support effective banking protocols.
• Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
• Coordinates all accounting processes that results into transactions from all subsystems into the general ledger.
• Audit and post all transactions prepared by accounting staff.
• Review and approve accounts receivable journal entries, ancillary reconciliations, and revenue classification to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Assess the accuracy of AP transactions recorded in the fiscal period and convey any identified posting errors or missing expenses to ensure expenses are reported accurately for close.
• Responsible for the completion of the monthly closing checklist for assigned facilities.
• Preparation financial statements and facility financial notes to the operations team for assigned facilities.
• Monitor monthly and quarterly financial statement process to assure accuracy and timeliness of all reports issued including budget to actual for management company.
• Review of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accounts are kept current and outstanding balances are addressed timely .
• Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data
• Coordination of all year-end tasks associated with timely completion of financial statements, tax returns, Medicare, and Medicaid cost reports.
• Assist in the preparation of requested documentation for all financial and regulatory audits and inquiries.
• Prepare work papers required for all Medicare and / or Medicaid Cost Report(s) submissions.
• Participate in development of annual operating and capital budgets.
• Ensure all deadlines are met including regulatory, financing and internal reporting.
• Troubleshoot, problem solving and training on an as needed basis, assist when necessary.
• Perform other duties & projects as assigned .
