As an operations specialist, you’ll be asked to provide support to our nationwide distribution center teams around various centralized operation disciplines including inventory control, scrap reconciliation, compliance auditing, SOP training, purchasing, and equipment tracking.
This role will report directly to the Director of Operations.

Summary
As an operations specialist, you’ll be asked to provide support to our nationwide distribution center teams around various centralized operation disciplines including inventory control, scrap reconciliation, compliance auditing, SOP training, purchasing, and equipment tracking.
This role will report directly to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide analysis of spend data on MRO items such as reels, pallets, and stretch wrap and recommend cost saving opportunities through vendor evaluation and negotiation.
- Assist with purchase order approval process and parts sourcing.
- Track production and material handling equipment buys/ transfers and retirements
- Create reports showing costs per hour/ foot on MHE and other Production equipment to help identify poor performing machinery.
- Provide summary support detail to management team on varying inventory control activities- cycle counting, physical inventories, and day to day inventory reconciliation events.
- Manage /track/reconcile / Audit and report out monthly scrap shipments and provide oversite to the DC teams on ways to improve overall recovery rate.
- Perform in field compliance auditing on various operational areas (system/ process/ facility/ safety and security) and identity areas for improvement.
- Work with local site leaders assisting in various forms of trainings around complex operational SOP changes, site startups, integrations, and where deemed national support is needed.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the OmniCable operations team in areas such as safety, UL (quality) compliance and lean initiatives
Work Experience
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience around inventory control and overall warehouse operations.
- Must be comfortable using excel spreadsheets and Power BI to drive operational improvement.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and planning skills
- Proficient working in warehouse management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in cross functional teams on complex projects
- Estimated travel will be 20-30%
