Technical Director, Data Governance Architecture
As the Director of Data Governance Architecture, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data platform. You will ensure the organization's data is accurate, consistent, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Governance Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy, encompassing policies, standards, and procedures.
- Define data quality metrics and standards to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Establish data classification and tagging standards.
- Oversee data lineage and impact analysis.
- Data Security:
- Collaborate with security teams to implement robust data security measures, including access controls, encryption, and data masking.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (such as HIPAA and GDPR) and internal security policies.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
- Master Data Management (MDM):
- Design and implement MDM solutions to ensure data consistency and accuracy across the organization.
- Define data stewardship roles and responsibilities.
- Promote data democratization to ensure relevant stakeholders have easy access to data.
- Data Platform Architecture:
- Work closely with the platform architect to design and implement a scalable and secure data platform with governance embedded and enforced.
- Data Product Enablement:
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure they have access to high-quality data to build data products.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of data governance principles, data quality, and data security.
- Strong experience with data management tools and technologies, including Databricks.
- Proficiency in Databricks for data management, data integration, and data quality.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor data teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, IT, mathematics, or related field.
- 15 years of experience in building/designing/architecting software products/platforms.
- 10 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of direct or indirect leadership experience, including cross-functional team leadership.
