Position Requirements
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) with 10 years’ prior work experience
- Prior experience in an agency environment (working in brand medical education or medical strategy) or marketing environment (pharma, health/wellness, biotech, etc)
- Oratory talent, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to command a room
- Innate team orientation
- Problem-solving and influencing
- Organization and attention to detail
- Sound judgment and discretion for managing projects
- LEADERSHIP:
- Partner with various Omnicom and TBWA\ disciplines on best practice initiatives and to bring forward new ways of working
- Manage and mentor various members of the strategy team, both in medical strategy and in various other aspects of strategy
- Provide strategic guidance across a portfolio of brands
- CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS:
- Nurture meaningful and productive senior client relationships to ensure strategic recommendations exceed expectations
- Contribute to creating and facilitating agency and client ideation sessions relevant to science, competitive workshops, and communication strategy
- Proactively offer high level perspective of the emerging data and landscape
- BUSINESS GROWTH
- Lead overall scientific strategic efforts for organic and new business opportunities
- Be an authority as you attend Client and new business pitch presentations
- STRATEGY CREATION:
- Lead workshop efforts related to and tangential to creative strategies
- Continuously seek and bring forward novel perspectives on the science behind our brands
- Being a strategically driven medical consultant who can parachute in and drive big picture direction
- Establishing yourself as a well-respected scientific authority who represents TBWA and the larger OHG network in important organic Client opportunities and new business pitches
- Being a thought leader in the field who regularly delivers scientifically disruptive thoughts in both speaking and publishing engagements
- Continuing to nurture valuable and enduring senior client relationships through
- Networking with Clients to make valuable connections
- Playing an integral role in defining and delivering Agency’s distinct point of view
- Establishing yourself as an internal “trainer” who brings up the next generation of Strategists
