Material Handler 1st shift

Location: Evansville, WI

Compensation: $19.00-$21.00

Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm

Mandatory Overtime may be required depending on business needs

Summary

The Warehouse Stock Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, and supplies. This role involves managing inventory using Epicor manufacturing software and operating forklifts to move products and materials safely and efficiently.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Store items in bins, on shelves, or on the floor by style, size, or material type.
• Pull and fill orders using pull tickets or pick lists; deliver items to the appropriate areas.
• Keep accurate stock records and update inventory in Epicor software.
• Mark items with identifying codes, numbers, or letters.
• Distribute stock to production workers and track issued materials.
• Organize storage based on size, weight, turnover, and environmental conditions.
• Move materials to different departments using forklifts or other equipment.
• Perform routine forklift maintenance (recharging batteries, refueling).
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Prepares, processes, schedules, and loads vendor and customer shipments".

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related experience/training.
  
  

Certifications

• Valid forklift driver’s license (or willingness to obtain one).
  
  

Skills

• Ability to read and follow simple instructions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Common sense problem-solving in routine situations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
  

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand, walk, and talk/hear.
• Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs. (team lift)
• Must have good vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
  
  

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to moving machinery and loud noise.
• Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
• Exposure to extreme seasonal temperatures.
