Operations Supervisor

Job Description

Our client is looking to add an Operations Supervisor to their team in Alice, TX . They provide natural gas compression equipment and services to customers globally in the Oil & Gas, Power, Transportation, and Marine sectors. Headquartered in Houston, TX, but with commercial and services hubs around the world, our client provides world-class services to more than 22,000 units in its installed base.

Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR check and drug screening as a requirement for these positions.

General Operations Supervisor Summary :

The Operations Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a job shop repair facility, leading mechanics and machinists while driving efficiency and financial performance. Responsibilities include customer communication, process management, material coordination, logistics, problem-solving, and back-office support. This is a key leadership role within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Solve problems, execute objectives, and drive both short- and long-term business goals.
• Oversee shop operations, equipment, and staff to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and positive work environment.
• Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Develop and implement procedures for safe and effective shop operations.
• Manage budgets and control expenditures.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff while ensuring efficient operations.
• Oversee contractor activities for facility maintenance and repairs.
• Manage all aspects of customer orders, including proposals, risk mitigation, scope, pricing, negotiations, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Sales to develop strategies that meet customer needs and business goals.
• Achieve revenue, profitability, utilization, and budget targets.
