We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-centric Robotics Application Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside our Sales team to identify and recommend targeted application solutions that meet customer requirements, ensuring support throughout the entire customer journey.
This position will serve as the "Robotics Technical Expert" for the regional sales team and will work closely with cross-functional teams including services, system integrators, and end users to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, thus driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Solution architecture : Collaborate with sales teams in defining solutions and architectures, conducting Proof of Concept (PoC) and feasibility studies, and working closely with System Integrator (SI) partners to ensure a smooth and effective solution design process.
- Solution validation : Perform customer feasibility studies with actual and simulated systems that illustrate both proof of concept for customer applications as well as the ease of use and flexibility of OMRON Robotics products. Additionally, this role will be responsible for vetting the applications captured by the sales teams ensuring the risk is minimized to comfortable levels for new opportunities.
- Solution support : Provide technical support to customers, and escalating the requests through the necessary teams or functions.
- System Integrator Development : Work with System Integrators (SIs) partners to support them with advanced (SI focused) training, build a comprehensive list of common and shared global requirements for tools, programming / integration environments for Robotics solutions (especially Mobile Robots), and develop common integration strategies to be adopted by our Global partners / SIs for future deployments and opportunities.
- New Product Introduction : Collaborate with the Global Application Engineering and Product Marketing Management team to share customer needs and requirements for new product releases contributing to New Product Development, and analyzing any impacts on existing robotics install base, ease of deploy, and field upgrades and downgrades.
- Relationship Management : Cultivate strong relationships with customers, understanding their requirements to support sales during the contract preparation and negotiation.
- Solution Optimization : Continuously monitor and assess the performance of deployed robotics solutions, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization. Collaborate with customers to implement enhancements and drive continuous value delivery.
- Performance Monitoring : Define key performance metrics based on a comprehensive understanding of internal processes and external customer needs.
- Documentation : Ensure comprehensive documentation of process quality controls, support processes, and customer interactions to meet company Quality Management System requirements. Besides, maintaining comprehensive documentation of application configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure consistency in support delivery and application deployments.
Education / Experience :
Level : Intermediate to Senior based on years of experience.
The annual salary range for this role is$100,000-130,000a year,however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program.Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
