The candidate will work within External Quantitative Biosciences interacting with scientists from Research Labs (MRL) as well as Sourcing Operations, Finance and R&D procurement.
External Quantitative Biosciences are responsible for managing in vitro and in vivo pharmacology work being executed at external Contract Research Organizations (CROs) or with academic partners. The team supports all MRL discovery sites and all MRL disease areas, and the candidate will provide operational support to members of External Quantitative Biosciences (ExQB).

The candidate's responsibilities include:
- Assist ExQB leads with vendor performance (VPP) collection for transactional work such as for cell science, protein production and molecular biology requests.
- Together with internal scientists, review or help complete protocols prior to work transfers.
- Performing notebook audits of partner notebook entries
- Support and prepare paperwork for biological reagent shipments to partners.
- Ordering ad-hoc compound for shipments to CRO partners.
- Follow-up up with MRL project teams on Global Counterscreening compound issues
- Supporting kinase profiling requests, managing requests from MRL project teams, submitting requests through Lifetech portal, managing and sharing data as generated with the project teams. Mapping process out in detail for archiving purposes
- Support Ex QB leads with finance forecast collection.
- Supporting and tracking IT issues and working with IT and ExQB leads to follow-up on problems and managing partner IT issues,
- Support cell line registration process including helping partners register their bioinventory.
- As needed, provide project management assistance including capture/track actions for ROP sourcing/other routine scientific meetings.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, preferred. Ideally some discipline of Biology/ Pharmacology/Physiology, etc.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
- Minimum of 2 years working in a lab environment with hands-on experience with lab equipment
- Scientifically conversant in basic biology and pharmacology principles, with industry experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adept at both data entry as well as developing tracking/reporting outputs
- Must be able to work as part of team and independently when required
- Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint
