This team is responsible for supporting all Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits and assists in other government accounting and compliance functions.

As a Government Audit Finance and Compliance Analyst , you will work within a broader group of Financial and Compliance Analysts within the Government Finance team. Top skills:
- Prior exposure to Government Cost Principles and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) would be beneficial: FAR; DFARS and CAS
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge - Pivot Tables/VLookup /HLookup
- SAP experience Moderate level report download
- Ensuring prompt and accurate responses to the Requests for Information (RFI’S) from the DCAA or the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) in support of the required Business and Financial audits
- Utilizing education and past experience to learn quickly on the job
- Retrieving supporting documentation to substantiate proposed or claimed costs on government contracts, both electronically and physically
- Working with employees and auditors with differing levels of experience and knowledge
- Adapting to changing priorities and clarifying ambiguous audit requests
- Liaising with the DCAA auditor to clarify requests and explain supporting documentation
- Reconciling supporting detailed data to submitted summary data
- Participating in reviews of expenses for adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 31 for allowable cost determination
- Performing SAP downloads; data mining and analyzing data to support government requests, as required
- Tracking and organizing Government Requests for Information (RFI`s) to assist response timeliness
- Organizing and maintaining project files and supporting documentation
- Handling various ad hoc requests, in an efficient and timely manner
- Associates degree in Accounting, Business or Finance with 6 years` of experience in an accounting, business or finance background OR;
- A Bachelor`s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance with 2 years` of experience in an accounting, business or finance background OR;
- A Master`s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance with 0 years` of experience in an accounting, business or finance background
- A fundamental understanding of accounting principles and processes and be familiar with audit testing and substantiation requirements
