Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide one on one companionship care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for the client in your care by assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Client care is daily 8am-8pm (12 hour) shifts. Long term care. Schedule can be flexible/fixed depending on Caregivers availability.
Double pay on major holidays.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities.
- Provide general companionship and encourage participation in community activities that engage in social, mental and physical pursuits.
- Light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe living environment for all clients, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Document care provided and report any changes in Clients' conditions or behaviors to the appropriate staff members.
- Uphold resident rights and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate to company administrators reports on client care/changes.
- Follow client's plan of care.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Client is able to verbalize needs and call when assistance is needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a caregiver/companionship role or similar position is preferred.
- Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for individuals in your care.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team able to communicate and report to the appropriate staff.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be reliable, punctual, caring, respectful and professional.
