Maintenance Lead
Responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities including monitoring both the daily / weekly & long-term maintenance plans & planning & executing turnarounds safely & as scheduled. This position will be responsible for optimizing the current maintenance work process to identify cost reduction & plant uptime opportunities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Experience :
Experience with SAP is required.
Experience using Microsoft Applications as part of daily tasks (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Office.)
Hands on knowledge & experience with various types of process systems & equipment, & crafts, along with an understanding of maintenance work processes. Possess an understanding of maintenance scheduling.
Direct experience performing equipment monitoring tasks (steam trap survey, leak detection, vibration monitoring, IR scanning, etc.) preferred.
Adhere to all GMP Standards / Requirements.
Maintenance Planning :
Create maintenance notifications for the plant as needed.
Create / Edit job plans for the effective execution of work by providing job scopes, job step sequence, labor & material requirements, skill requirements, specifying the necessary tools & equipment, external resources, & determining work order costs.
Identify permitting requirements & special isolation needs.
Create task lists (job plan library) for recurring jobs.
Create purchase requisitions & reservations for necessary materials, equipment or services & orders material.
Continually improve the job plans by collaborating with Operations & Contractors to Maintain a spare parts inventory
A. Build & Maintain Bill of Materials for area equipment
B. Continually update task lists to ensure necessary changes or improvements are incorporated, & efficiencies are captured per job feedback
C. Obtaining & analyzing feedback from the work crew through the job feedback process
D. Updating the task list & job plan libraries.
Review work scopes for changes which would result in triggering a Management of Change (MOC).
Create Job Packets as needed by providing spec sheets, vendor manuals, P&IDs, pictures, isolation plans, job plan / feedback form, etc.
Planning :
Create job plans for the safe & effective execution of turnaround projects : job scopes, job step sequence, labor & material requirements, skill requirements, specifying the necessary tools & equipment, external resources, & determining work order costs.
Coordinate purchase requisitions / purchase orders & expedite orders to assure scheduled delivery for turnaround.
Manage unplanned work backlog :
Review the backlog & planning list.
Clarify incomplete or unclear work notifications.
Group work orders together that can be planned & completed as a single order.
Develop, track & report maintenance KPIs.
Confirm the proper SAP status codes including work order start & finish dates to allow proper scheduling of the work order.
Management :
Work directly with contractors to ensure alignment in priority for area jobs.
Lead the weekly maintenance meeting with operations, engineering & contractors for the plant.
Monitor & audit contractor work hours & identify improvement opportunities.
Planning & Implementing change to Optimize Maintenance.
Identify equipment & instrumentation with low (Mean time between failures) MTBF & execute projects to address, using the MOC system as needed.
Conduct routine reliability PMs, such as steam trap survey, leak detection, vibration monitoring, IR scanning, etc.
