Job Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist/Office Administrator will manage day-to-day front desk activities, patient interactions, and administrative tasks while contributing to a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet visitors warmly and professionally, assist with inquiries, and provide personalized service.
- Phone and Email Management: Answer calls and emails promptly, route them appropriately, and maintain exceptional phone etiquette.
- Scheduling: Manage patient appointments, staff calendars, and meeting schedules.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain patient charts, verify insurance, upload images, and handle required paperwork.
- Financial Management: Process payments and utilize QuickBooks for basic financial tasks and record-keeping.
- Data Entry: Accurately update and maintain information in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Clerical Duties: Perform filing, scanning, faxing, typing, and other administrative tasks to support office operations.
- Reception Area Maintenance: Keep the front desk and reception area clean, organized, and presentable.
- Technology Utilization: Proficiently operate Microsoft Office Suite, EHR systems, and other office software.
- Patient Services: Assist with inquiries about services and procedures, particularly in a medical or dental setting.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification as a medical or dental receptionist is a plus.
- Experience: Prior receptionist or administrative experience preferred, especially in a medical or dental office.
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health record systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
