What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at On-Site Medical Care?
Medical Assistant - Direct Primary Care (Colorado Springs, CO) (Part-Time with Potential for Full-Time)
Are You the Right Fit for Our Team?
At On-Site Medical Care, we believe healthcare should be personal, accessible, and built on trust. Our Direct Primary Care (DPC) model is about forming real relationships with our patients, giving them the care they deserve without the rush or bureaucracy. We’re a tight-knit, passionate team looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Medical Assistant who thrives in an independent setting. If you want to be part of a healthcare environment where you can make a real difference, we’d love to meet you!
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
- On-Site Clinic with a Purpose: This clinic is dedicated to caring for warehouse employees and their families, bringing high-quality healthcare directly to those who need it most.
- Work Autonomously with Support: A provider won’t always be on-site, so you must feel comfortable working independently. But don’t worry—you’ll have a strong remote team backing you up when needed.
- Time to Focus on Patients: We believe in quality over quantity—you’ll have the time to really connect with patients, educate them, and help improve their long-term health.
- A Team That Trusts You: We hire professionals who take initiative, solve problems, and genuinely care about the work they do. If you love taking ownership and making things happen, you’ll fit right in.
- Work-Life Balance Matters: We offer a part-time role with the potential to transition into full-time—so you can find a schedule that works for you while still making a meaningful impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking vitals, drawing blood, administering medications, and assisting with minor procedures
- Educating patients on wellness, chronic conditions, and preventive care
- Coordinating patient care and communicating with remote providers
- Managing clinic supplies and ensuring a clean, organized space
- Handling scheduling, follow-ups, and other administrative duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Heart & Empathy: You genuinely care about people and want to help them live healthier lives.
- Confidence & Independence: You’re comfortable working without direct supervision and making informed decisions.
- Great Communicator: You know how to talk to patients in a way that makes them feel heard and understood.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy matters, especially when it comes to patient care and documentation.
- Adaptability & Growth Mindset: You embrace change, learn quickly, and want to grow in your role.
What You Bring to the Table
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting (DPC experience is a plus but not required)
- Strong ability to work independently while maintaining top-tier patient care
- Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMRs)
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
What We Offer
- A role where you’re valued as an essential team member
- A patient-centered approach to care—no quotas, just quality service
- A supportive and positive workplace culture
- Opportunities for professional growth and development
- The chance to truly make a difference in the lives of warehouse workers and their families
If you’re looking for a job that’s more than just a job, where you can take ownership, make meaningful connections, and provide care that really matters, we’d love to hear from you!
