Security Guard

On Time Staffing is seeking security guards for our warehouse in North Kingstown, RI! Hiring immediately!

Starting pay rate: $18-$20 per hour

Education & experience:

• Must have SORA License
• Must have open availability, open to work all shifts
• Must be comfortable with working in various weather conditions (rain, snow, cold)
• Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of security experience
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• A thorough knowledge of logistics, food safety, personal safety, warehousing and inventory management principles, practices and procedures preferred. Not required
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office, including Teams, Excel, and Word are preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills are preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Organization and time management skills, detail oriented, able to prioritize in a multi-tasking environment and ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
• Must be able to enforce safety and security policies while keeping a good demeanor and treating everyone with respect
• Must be honest, reliable, a clear communicator, quick thinker, and have leadership skills
• Patrol assigned areas
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff to make an accurate assessment of customer and branch needs.

Physical demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, handle, or feel; require speaking, read, and hear both English and Spanish. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and the employee is expected to lead physical rounds of the entire facility and location grounds. Will move packaging (Mail) from front office to each suite.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure physical security of building entrance and/or designated area
• Prevent unauthorized access
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and others to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
• Obtain mail from main office and disperse in appropriate offices
